Results achieved in prior matters are not meant to be a guarantee of success as the facts and legal circumstances vary from matter to matter.
Environmental requirements complicate nearly all aspects of conducting business in New Jersey. We recognize that being familiar with those requirements is not enough. Our clients rely on Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A.'s Environmental Law team to put environmental laws and regulations into the context of their business goals and to develop strategies to achieve those goals efficiently. Our clients run the gamut from large multinational corporations to local real estate developers.
We are all well-versed in the complications of multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements that often confront our clients in their New Jersey business ventures. We are skilled at handling large, complex projects and transactions that involve many legal, political, and financial obstacles. Our experience provides for efficient due diligence on real estate and corporate transactions – focusing on the issues that are germane to our clients’ concerns.
We appear before the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on permitting and regulatory compliance matters. We work with our clients on a wide variety of matters: acquisition, remediation, entitlement, and sale of Brownfield redevelopment projects; energy and infrastructure projects; air compliance; site remediation and ISRA compliance; land use permitting, including coastal, flood hazard, and wetlands permitting; hazardous and solid waste permitting; cost recovery and environmental litigation; Tidelands conveyances; and regulatory proceedings at all levels of government.
