Giovanni "John" Anzalone is co-chair of the Personal Injury team and a member of the Management Committee at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. As a trial lawyer, he has been litigating personal injury matters for over 20 years and has handled over 1,000 cases. Since receiving his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1996, John has devoted his professional practice solely to representing individuals who have suffered personal injuries due to motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, dangerous products, nursing home negligence, industrial incidents, premises liability, Maritime accidents, and railroad accidents (FELA).

Results achieved in prior matters are not meant to be a guarantee of success as the facts and legal circumstances vary from matter to matter. John has settled or obtained verdicts on behalf of injured and disabled individuals totaling more than $50 million. Throughout his career, he has achieved multiple awards in excess of $1 million in counties all over the State of New Jersey. Many respected attorneys in New Jersey and New York continue to refer complex and significant cases to him because of his skills and experience in motor vehicle, products liability, and FELA matters.

In connection with FELA matters, John represents workers from New Jersey Transit, Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) and Amtrak who have been injured as a result of the railroad’s negligence in providing them with a safe workplace. He has successfully pursued these matters in both state and federal district courts, recovering millions of dollars on behalf of railroad workers.

Results achieved in prior matters are not meant to be a guarantee of success as the facts and legal circumstances vary from matter to matter. John has been selected for inclusion to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been selected for inclusion to the New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list from 2006 to 2010. Since 2025, John has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America list for Personal Injury Litigation- Plaintiffs.
