Wilentz Pharmacy Law Attorneys, Angelo Cifaldi and Joseph Carlo, successfully appealed a network termination on behalf of one of their New Jersey independent pharmacy clients. As is becoming increasingly common, the network provider unilaterally terminated the pharmacy for what it deemed were questionable billing practices.
Mr. Cifaldi and Mr. Carlo, after raising legitimate explanations for the billing, negotiated an agreement between the pharmacy and the network provider. The agreement permitted the pharmacy to be reinstated into the network and to resume processing its claims through the network. As network access can be vital for a pharmacy’s viability, brokering these types of agreements and avoiding network termination offers the pharmacy guidance for future compliance and the ability to service a wider group of beneficiaries.
