Wilentz Employment Law Chair Maureen S. Binetti will serve as a moderator and present with Wilentz Shareholder Tracy Armstrong a panel on mediation and arbitration techniques for resolving sexual harassment disputes in the workplace, in light of the recent Senate Bill 121. Signed into law by Governor Murphy on March 18, 2019, S-121 amends the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination by banning the use of confidentiality provisions in employment contracts that previously prevented the victims of alleged discrimination, retaliation and harassment from going public.
The presentation is part of ADR Day 2019, a full day conference entitled “Valuable Tips for Resolving Conflict in a Complicated World,” presented by New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators.
This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 6 CLE credits. Of these, 1.2 qualify as credits for ethics/professionalism.
